The essence of our association is reflected in the name AMATA, which stands for:

Asociación para la Mejora de la
Artesanía Tradicional y Actual

or, in English:

Association for the Improvement
of Traditional and Modern Crafts

In other words: we are mainly interested in promoting and improving craftwork in Spain, keeping traditions alive and maintaining quality. This is why we mainly dedicate ourselves to organising original arts and crafts fairs with Artesanía de Autor®.

We've created a virtual artisan village. We're all true artisans here, and we want to share our love for our crafts with you.

In our workshops, we teach you some techniques, tools and materials we use to create our pieces. And don't forget: our village continues to grow and change, so we can offer you even more!

Features of our arts and crafts fairs

All our fairs and all our themed markets are Artesanía de Autor® events (which means that the author of al goods on offer is present at the stall).

At our events, you'll find only authentic, handmade crafts, created and sold directly by the authors. Each piece reflects talent, effort, and creativity, guaranteeing quality and originality.

We do not allow resale, nor products that are not handmade: only authentic works, made by the artisans themselves.

We offer a well-maintained and pleasant environment, ideal for enjoying and discovering unique pieces.

Amata is registered in the National Register of Associations, Section 1, No. 624227. CIF: G53268892.
